Wallet, top-ups and invoices: how you are billed

Top up in dirhams, understand what is debited hour by hour, keep an eye on your remaining runtime, find your invoices and receipts: QuantylCloud billing explained.

Published on · updated on

QuantylCloud works like a prepaid card: you top up a wallet in dirhams, and your resources consume it hour by hour. There is no subscription and no automatic debit. This guide explains how to top up, what is debited and when, how to never be caught short, and where to find your invoices.

Top up your wallet

From the Wallet menu of the console, choose an amount, from 50 Dhs, and a payment method:

  • the Moroccan bank card, on the bank's secure payment page: the balance is credited as soon as the payment is confirmed;
  • the bank transfer, useful for a company: the balance is credited after receipt, within one to two business days.

Every top-up gets a receipt. No currency conversion fee or commission is added: you pay in dirhams, and the prices shown include VAT.

What is debited, and when

Each server has an hourly price and a monthly cap. The wallet is debited hour by hour, never beyond the cap in a calendar month. A few rules to know:

  • the meter starts when the server first actually boots, not when you order;
  • a creation that fails costs nothing;
  • a server deleted less than an hour after its first start pays for the full hour, options included; after that, it is billed by the second (the other usage rules are in the guide VPS acceptable use rules);
  • a stopped server is still billed: its IP address and disk stay reserved for you. Deleting is what stops the bill;
  • options (IPv4 address, extra disk, daily backup) are billed the same way, hourly with their own cap, on top of the server;
  • a server's price is fixed when you order it: a change to the price grid never touches an existing machine;
  • a dedicated server or a storage space is paid by the month, debited at the order and then at each renewal.

Example with the Standard plan, at 0,42 Dhs incl. VAT per hour and at most 299,00 Dhs incl. VAT per month:

The server exists for…Debited from the wallet
One day10,08 Dhs
Ten days100,80 Dhs
The whole month299,00 Dhs, the cap

Keep an eye on your remaining runtime

The Wallet page shows your balance, your hourly consumption and your remaining runtime: the time your balance covers at the current rate. It also suggests the amount to top up to get back to seven days, then thirty days of runtime.

As soon as the balance no longer covers seven days of usage, an alert goes out by email. If it runs out anyway, your servers are suspended, then kept for seven days: a top-up within that time puts them back in service as they were. Reminders go out during that time; beyond it, and after a final warning, they are deleted along with their data.

Invoices and receipts

The Invoices menu of the console gathers all your documents, downloadable as PDF:

  • a receipt for each confirmed top-up;
  • a monthly invoice that summarizes the month's usage, resource by resource, with Moroccan VAT;
  • a credit note, if an invoice has to be corrected: the original invoice is never modified.

For an invoice in your company's name, enter its legal name and its ICE in the account's Settings.

Getting your balance back

The balance you paid and did not consume can be refunded: write to us from the contact page. Hours already consumed cannot be refunded, and neither can a dedicated server term that has already begun. The details are in the refund policy.

In practice

Top up enough to cover a month of your servers, keep an eye on the remaining runtime, and delete what you no longer use rather than stopping it. To create your first server, follow our guide Create a VPS in Morocco.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum top-up amount?

50 Dhs. The amount topped up is credited to your wallet and consumed hour by hour by your resources.

Why does my stopped server keep costing money?

Because its IP address and disk stay reserved for you. Only deleting the server stops the billing.

What happens if my balance drops to zero?

Your servers are suspended, then kept for seven days. A top-up within that time puts them back in service as they were. Email alerts go out beforehand, as soon as the balance no longer covers seven days of usage.

Where can I find my invoices?

In the Invoices menu of the console: a receipt for each top-up and a monthly usage invoice, downloadable as PDF.
