Order a dedicated server: payment, delivery and renewal

Rent a dedicated server by the month, paid in dirhams: what is debited at checkout, the delivery time, renewal, cancellation and the custom quote.

Published on

A dedicated server is an entire physical machine, reserved for you alone: no neighbor on the processor, the memory or the disks. At QuantylCloud, it is rented by the month and paid in dirhams from the same wallet as your VPS. This guide explains the process, from order to delivery, then renewal and cancellation.

Dedicated or VPS?

A VPS is created in a few minutes and billed by the hour: it is the right choice for testing, for a project of uncertain duration, or for a modest load. A dedicated server suits you when you need constant performance, a lot of memory or disk, a GPU, or a machine you share with nobody. In return, it is ordered by the month, with a delivery time.

What you pay

  • a setup fee, once, for some offers;
  • a monthly term, paid in advance, which starts on the day of delivery and renews every month on the same date;
  • the options you chose (an extra disk, for example), monthly as well.

At checkout, the wallet is debited for the setup and the first month, options included. The price is fixed on your server: a change to the grid does not alter what you pay at the following renewals.

Example with the Dédié Ryzen 5 · 64 Go offer (AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 6 cœurs / 12 threads, 64 GB of memory, 2 × 512 Go NVMe): 1 080,00 Dhs incl. VAT per month, no setup fee, making 1 080,00 Dhs debited at checkout, delivery within 24 h.

Ordering, step by step

  1. Choose an offer on the Dedicated servers page, or from the Dedicated menu of the console.
  2. Top up your wallet by the amount shown “at checkout”, if the balance does not already cover it. The guide Wallet, top-ups and invoices details the payment methods.
  3. Give the server a name, choose the system and, if you wish, an SSH key, then confirm. The server appears as “ordered” in your console.
  4. Our team approves the order within one business day. If it cannot fulfill it, it declines it and the amount is credited back to your wallet.
  5. On delivery, the IP address and the access details appear on the server's page. The root password is shown only once: write it down, then secure the machine with our guide Secure your Linux VPS, which also applies to a dedicated server.

As long as the server has not been delivered, you can cancel the order from its page: the amount debited is credited back in full.

To protect your account, the monthly total of your dedicated servers is capped by default. If an order exceeds it, the console tells you: write to us to raise it.

Renewal

Every month, on the delivery anniversary date, the next term is debited from the wallet. If the balance does not cover it, reminders go out by email seven days, three days and the day before the due date.

Without enough balance on the due date, the server is suspended for a 72-hour grace period: a top-up within that time reactivates it, and the term is then debited. Once the grace period has passed, the server is cancelled and its data is not kept.

Stopping your dedicated server

From the server's page, stop the renewal: the server stays active until the end of the paid month, then it is cancelled. Retrieve your data before that date. A term that has begun is due in full, and the unused part of the month is not refunded: our supplier bills us for the whole month. The details are in the refund policy.

A configuration that is not in the catalog?

Particular processor, memory, disks, GPU or location: describe your need on the Request a quote page. We come back to you with a quote in dirhams, with no commitment on your part.

In practice

Start with a VPS if you are unsure of the size you need: it can be measured in a few days for a few dirhams. Move to a dedicated server when the load is known and lasting. To get started, follow our guide Create a VPS in Morocco.

Frequently asked questions

When am I debited for a dedicated server?

At checkout: the setup fee, if any, and the first month, options included. After that, each monthly term is debited on the delivery anniversary date.

Can I cancel my order?

Yes, as long as the server has not been delivered: the amount debited is credited back to your wallet in full. An order that we decline is credited back in the same way.

Is the current month refunded if I stop?

No. Stopping the renewal leaves the server active until the end of the paid month, but a term that has begun is due in full.

What happens if my balance does not cover the renewal?

Reminders go out seven days, three days and the day before the due date. Without balance on the due date, the server is suspended for 72 hours: a top-up within that time reactivates it, otherwise it is cancelled.
